Doctors Are Refusing The Swine Flu Vaccine

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

As many people are undecided if they should receive the Swine Flu vaccine for themselves or their children, many doctors are struggling with the same decision.  In fact, the Examiner found that 60% of doctors oppose being immunized for the Swine Flu virus.  More specifically, many medical professionals have expressed their concern over the fact that the safety trials for this particular vaccine were rushed.

CBS News has reported that one 27 year old pregnant woman in South Florida thought she had a cold until it turned bad so quickly and she finally discovered how deadly the H1N1 virus could be.

Aubrey Opdyke was admitted to the ICU where she spent 5 weeks in a drug induced coma.  Opdyke is finally recovering, but one of the peculiar aspects of the H1N1 virus is that it causes severe complications in the lungs.  For pregnant women, whose immune systems are already suppressed, this is even more dangerous, because their breathing is compromised so severely.

One medical professional’s blog states her concerns over forced vaccinations (which she opposes).  Stories like this are extremely common while more people each day continue to look for alternative options for prevention.

Dangerous Ingredient In Swine Flu Vaccine

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

A recent article published by Huliq News stated that due to the high risk pregnant women face from the Swine Flu, health officials are urging all pregnant women to get the Swine Flu vaccine.

An even more interesting blog reports data from various news sources stating that a main ingredient in the H1N1 vaccine is the preservative, thimerosal.  Although the CDC reports that most vaccines for children under 6 years old have trace amounts of thimerosal, but the seasonal flu vaccines and the H1N1 vaccine all have thimerosal as an ingredient.

Thimerosal is made up of 50% mercury which initially may not concern some readers, but the mercury is of the organic variety which is more dangerous than the inorganic type.

Natural News reported that Russia banned thimerosol in 1980.  Denmark, Austria, Japan, Great Britain and all Scandinavian countries have banned the preservative as well.

Considering that the Swine Flu vaccine includes such risky ingredients, pregnant women should be some of the first to be looking into alternative prevention methods.

Pregnant Women and H1N1

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

More so now than ever, pregnant women are cautious about what foods they will eat, what types of activities they engage in and what medications they will consume.

Although the FDA has approved the Swine Flu vaccine for pregnant women, many women are still concerned because the H1N1 vaccine has been tested so minimally.

As of September 3, 6% of the confirmed deaths have been pregnant women as reported by the Centers for Disease Control, so it’s understandable that pregnant women would be concerned about catching the virus.

In addition to the vaccine, many alternative methods of treatment and prevention are being publicized as well.  Hubpages recently published a lengthy list of popular homeopathic remedies for treating the Swine Flu.

While some argue that simply getting the Swine Flu vaccine is your safest bet, the data about the side effects of the vaccine is still so minimal, at best you have an entire months worth of testing to judge from.

Swine Flu: There’s An App For That

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

As the Swine Flu continues to spread and more people become infected, most able countries are increasing their efforts to fight the spread of the disease.  In China, health officials are offering free vaccinations and encouraging flexible work hours for those who may be infected.

While Sweden and Norway have reported their first Swine Flu deaths, schools and public gathering spots are asking people to use caution in regards to hygiene – washing hands most pointedly and asking people with flu like symptoms to stay home.

If you own an iPhone, you can download the Swine Flu application that will alert you to nearby Swine Flu outbreaks.

While many are awaiting the H1N1 vaccine, many are uncomfortable with the possible side effects and being left still vulnerable to the virus.  Pregnant women are a large group that are being urged to get the vaccination, but trials are still being done on the vaccine.  Pregnant women are more careful than ever about what they put into their bodies, so this will be a hard sell for most.
